Te Ngahere Area

Mary Lou our caretaker has been busy building us a car and plane for Te Ngahere area.
We have enjoyed flying in the jungle to pick up the wood for our fire.

Exploring at Arataki Honey Centre.

We visited the Arataki Honey Centre. We had great fun learning about bees and their role in making honey.

We were able to look at the bees in their hives, The queen bees had a dot and they were tricky to spot.

We enjoyed exploring in the games area. We particularly enjoyed dressing up as beekeepers.

We had to really concentrate hard to roll the bees wax to make candles.

                       We have been learning to draw a picture about the stories we have to tell.

Growing Chickens

This term we have had 23 eggs growing in an incubator. Each day we have been watering and turning the eggs. We have enjoyed reading books about chickens and how they grow inside an egg. The countdown is on.

 The countdown is on. Not many days to go.
